Judge Beckham’s judicial career includes 12 years as Justice of the Peace for Rosebud County, State of Montana (1995-2006) and 12 years as City Judge for the City of Colstrip, Montana and the City of Forsyth, Montana. She was a member of the Montana Magistrates Association and the National Judges Association during her entire career. After nearly 25 years, she retired in  2019, so that she could spend more time with her three children, six grandchildren and three great- grandchildren, and she is enjoying every moment of her retirement!

Judge Beckham has chosen ton remain a member of the National Judges Association because she strongly believes in its purpose. She has served in a variety of positions, and was recently elected President-Elect.

“This organization provides some of the best judicial training and education available to judges in Courts of Limited Jurisdictions across the country, with a focus on non-attorney judges”, says Beckham. “The camaraderie and shared judicial experience is a life-line to  judges that desire to render swift, fair and compassionate justice in accordance with the laws of their state.” She says, “Through this organization I have developed life-long friendships with judges of great character and integrity. They represent some of the best in the judicial system and  I’m extremely proud to serve along with them.”
